By registering for, accessing or participating in an ExoFutures webinar, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Webinar Registration
Registration may be required to attend or access a webinar. You agree to provide accurate and current information when registering.
Your registration and access link are intended for your personal use and may not be transferred, published or shared without our permission.
We may refuse, suspend or cancel a registration where information is false, access is being misused, or participation may disrupt the webinar.
2. Free Access
Unless otherwise stated, the webinar is provided free of charge. Free registration does not guarantee uninterrupted access, continued availability of a recording, or access to future ExoFutures webinars.
We may limit attendance, close registrations or change access arrangements at our discretion.
3. Webinar Changes and Availability
We may change the webinar date, time, speaker, content, format or platform where reasonably necessary.
We may postpone or cancel a webinar because of technical problems, speaker availability or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Where practical, registered participants will be notified using the contact details supplied during registration.
4. Educational and Informational Purpose
Webinar content is provided for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, accounting, investment, employment, technical or other professional advice.
Participants should obtain appropriate professional advice before acting on information discussed during a webinar.
Although reasonable care is taken in preparing the content, ExoFutures does not guarantee that all information will be complete, current or suitable for every organisation or situation.
5. No Guaranteed Outcomes
Participation in a webinar does not guarantee any particular business, financial, operational, professional or personal outcome.
Examples, case studies and opinions may be provided for illustration and should not be interpreted as promises of future performance.
6. Speaker Views
The views expressed by guest speakers, partners or participants are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of ExoFutures.
Guest speakers are responsible for the accuracy of their own statements and materials.
7. Intellectual Property
All webinar content, including presentations, recordings, videos, graphics, frameworks, documents, templates, branding and supporting materials, is owned by ExoFutures, the relevant speaker, partner or licensor.
You may use the content for your own internal learning and reference.
Unless written permission has been granted, you may not:
- record, copy, reproduce or republish the webinar;
- distribute presentation slides or supporting materials;
- upload the recording to another website or platform;
- sell, license or commercially exploit the content;
- remove copyright, trademark or ownership notices; or
- present the content as your own.
8. Recording of Webinars
Live webinars may be recorded. Recordings may include the presenter, shared screens, chat messages, questions, comments, names, profile images, audio or video contributed by participants.
By participating, you acknowledge that the session may be recorded and used for replay, education, marketing, promotional or internal purposes.
Participants who do not wish to appear in a recording should keep their camera and microphone switched off and avoid submitting identifying information in the public chat.
9. Participant Conduct
Participants must behave professionally and respectfully. You may not:
- disrupt the webinar or interfere with the platform;
- harass or threaten speakers or participants;
- post unlawful, discriminatory, defamatory or offensive material;
- share malicious links, software or unsolicited promotions;
- impersonate another person;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the webinar or its systems; or
- use webinar contact information for unsolicited marketing.
We may remove a participant without notice where their conduct is inappropriate, disruptive or unlawful.
10. Personal Information and Communications
We process registration and participation information to administer the webinar, provide access, communicate reminders, deliver recordings or resources and manage related follow-up.
Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements, including South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act.
Where you separately consent to marketing communications, ExoFutures may send information about relevant webinars, programmes, resources, events or services.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Administrative messages relating to a webinar for which you registered may still be sent where necessary.
11. Third-Party Platforms
Webinars may be delivered through third-party video-conferencing, webinar, email, website or video-hosting services.
Your use of those services may also be subject to the third party's terms and privacy practices. ExoFutures is not responsible for service interruptions, device incompatibility or security incidents caused by third-party platforms outside our reasonable control.
12. Technical Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring that you have:
- a suitable device;
- a stable internet connection;
- compatible software or browser access; and
- working audio where required.
We cannot guarantee that the webinar will operate without interruptions, delays or technical errors.
13. Links and External Resources
Webinars may contain links to third-party websites, products or resources. These links are provided for convenience and do not necessarily constitute endorsement.
ExoFutures is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security or practices.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, ExoFutures will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or economic loss arising from participation in, reliance on or inability to access a webinar.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify ExoFutures against claims, losses or costs arising from your unlawful use of the webinar, infringement of intellectual property rights or breach of these Terms.
16. Access to Recordings
Where a replay is provided, access may be available for a limited period and may be withdrawn or changed without notice.
Replay access is personal and may not be shared publicly.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published or presented at the time of registration will apply to that webinar unless a change is required by law or is reasonably necessary for operational purposes.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate South African courts, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
